SHIFT Dance Intensive (Summer Contemporary Dance Program)

Summer intensive with guest artists from the world’s leading contemporary companies. 

The SHIFT Dance Intensive is a week-long immersion of contemporary dance taught by internationally-renowned guest artists. Pre-professional and professional dancers age 13 and above will have the opportunity to develop their technique and artistry, be creative and curious, and connect with international dancers in an empowering community environment. 

Our amazing line-up of faculty for the 2021 SHIFT Dance Intensive includes artists based in California, Australia & Hong Kong:

• Lani Yamanaka (Akram Khan Company)
• Genna Moroni (Barak Marshall Dance Theatre)
• Zunnur Zhafirah (Hofesh Shechter Company)
• SHIFT Director Kelsey Ang

Dancers will experience contemporary technique classes, improvisation, floorwork, Akram Khan and Barak Marshall repertory and creation sessions. Hybrid program: Classes will be in-person and participants will be able to learn virtually from international artists in the studio.

Time: 9am to 4pm

Location: Red Shoe Dance Studio, Wong Chuk Hang, HK

Tuition Fee: $6500 HKD

Early-Registration Tuition: $5850 HKD

Participants will be able to take classes from international Guest Artists in the studio via Zoom. (Register by June 1st for a 10% early-registration discount)
