Phil & Ted’s Traveller V4 Travel Cot

The lightest option we’ve found, the Phil & Ted Traveller weighs just 2.8kg. It is super compact when packed (65cm x 20cm x 20cm) but provides ample space when open (total footprint is 117cm x 79cm x 63cm). It can be used indoors and outdoors, for sleep or for play. An additional mesh top provides shade while a side zip makes for easy access. It even has a self-inflating mattress and fitted sheet. Suitable from birth to three years, or 34kg. Inovi Cocoon Folding Moses

This lightweight 4.1kg moses style travel cot is suitable for babies up to six months. It provides baby with a secure sleeping environment, be it at home or for travelling, even for inflight. It complies with International Aviation Standards to be stowed as cabin luggage. Available from Baby Basics $1,750

Travel Crib Light Babybjorn

Easy to assemble and pack away and weighing just 6kg, the Babybjorn Light is another great option. It comes with a soft, comfortable fitted mattress, providing a good night’s sleep for newborn babies to children age three years. $2,299 www.babycentral.com.hk

SpaceCot Travel Cot

This doesn’t seem to be available in Hong Kong but consistently gets good reviews so may be worth shipping. It can be put up, and packed away, in a matter of seconds. It comes with two detachable cot levels, meaning it can be used as a travel cot for babies under six months, or as a playpen for babies up to 30 months. Available from www.amazon.co.uk

Chicco Zip & Go Travel Crib

A two-in-one that can be used as a crib from birth to six months, or for children aged six months to 24 months, simply drop the crib down to make it into a full cot allowing more space to move.
