It’s officially summer! A very warm “Benvenuto” (“welcome” in Italian) to new Chef Matteo Caripoli at DiVino Patio in Wanchai. Coming from Verona, Italy, Chef Matteo brings his approach - " My philosophy is simple – follow the seasons and respect the ingredients. I like to play with colours and textures; to present exciting experiences… a feast for the eyes and taste buds. The goal is to always creatively yet delicately balance every element on a plate, so you can taste each individual flavour.”
Chef Matteo’s sumptuous summer menu includes Black Angus tartare beef with egg yolk cream on a crispy cracker; Atlantic cod with gremolada, black ink sauce, pesto of scapece zucchini; homemade ravioli filled with eggplant and ricotta, tomato coulis, caponata and air of parmesan. His pizza menu showcases the fresh new item of STORIONE Focaccina Bianca spread with lemon-scented mascarpone cheese topped with artisan smoked sturgeon and field sprouts.
It’s also time for a warm “welcome back” to Restaurant Manager, Camillo Migliavacca, who recently travelled to Spain and Argentina, returning with renewed passion and know-how.
