The Valentine’s Day set menu at MEATS will feature three starters, two mains, a side and dessert. Start with Galician Octopus with bagna cauda and smoked paprika and Beef Tataki served on a bed of creamy avocado puree with a side of crunchy salad and coriander lime soy sauce dressing. Choose from two mains: the succulent Duck Breast served with a sweet potato puree and fig compote or the Beef fillet topped with a red wine sauce. For dessert, indulge in Rose and White Chocolate Parfait served with sweet strawberry sorbet.

TATE Dining Room & Bar

TATE presents a unique culinary interpretation of LOVE by Chef Vicky Lau. Sure to bring out the romantic in all of us, each course of the French x Chinese menu is an ode to an exquisite seasonal creation. Chaiwala

For a lively and vibrant night out, whisk your loved one to Chaiwala. The Valentine’s Day menu features a number of favourites such as Chaiwala’s signature Pani Puri served with a refreshing jal-jeera sauce and Aloo Tikka Chaat, spiced potato patties served with chutney and honey yoghurt. Brought to the table straight from the hearth of the tandoors is the Tandoori Plate featuring chicken, lamb and prawns. Served with sides such as naan and rice is the Old Delhi Butter Chicken curry, bound keep anyone happy on this romantic evening. To finish the evening on a high, the Panna Cotta is served heart shaped. The Lover’s cocktail is available throughout the night and is a twist on a Gin and Tonic featuring Chambord and lime juice with an egg white topping.

Carpaccio

For an intimate Valentine’s day, look to Carpaccio for some heart-shaped pizzas (HK$188) at lunch and dinner. The dinner option includes a mini à la carte and four-course menu with choice of pasta or surf and turf mains for HK$468 and HK$588. The four-course menu starts with an antipasto of sustainable Norwegian salmon terrine, bouquet of mâche salad, and light avocado and lime cream. To follow is a bisque of lobster and X.O sauce followed by the main of Artisanal heart-shaped tomato ravioli “alla caprese” filled with buffalo mozzarella and tomato and light basil sauce or Lovers surf and turf – a duo of U.S. Angus beef striploin tagliata and King prawns served with two sauces of Merlot reduction and lobster emulsion. The Tiramisu’ alle fragole served in jar with layers of mascarpone cream, soft vanilla sponge, fresh strawberries and strawberry purée provides the sweetest finish to your meal. This menu will be served from 14-16 February. A professional caricaturist will also capture comedic mementos of the couples in five-minute sessions over dinner.

Couples can cosy up at Madame Ching this Valentine’s Day. With an eight-course sharing menu featuring a selection of favourites, no one will be going home hungry. Starters include Hamachi Crudo with tare, yukari and red shiso for that perfect umami flavour, Kuruma Prawn Salad topped with shaved fennel and sliced oranges. Mains include the Half Roast Chicken prepared in a Thai Nam Prik sauce with fresh herbs and Amadai fish with simmered eggplant in a black bean sauce. Sides include the chef’s special Long Beans tossed in a housemade XO sauce and Ching’s Fried Rice with roast meat burnt ends. Lovers can end the meal with the Ovaltine Sponge Cake, a twist on the Hong Kong delicacy. To keep the love fresh, Ching’s Love Valentine’s cocktail is a refreshing mix of watermelon juice, vodka, umeshu and rose lemonade.

Rech by Alain Ducasse

Executive Chef Stéphane Gortina has created a 6-course Valentine’s Day menu priced at HK$2,988 for 2 persons, with wine-pairing for an additional HK$688 per person. The menu begins with a Seafood platter to share featuring Langoustine, pink shrimp, Fine de Claire n°2 and Creuse spéciale n°2 oysters, hard clams and whelks. Next is Blue Lobster Consommé, Kristal Caviar and Samphire. This is followed by Sea Scallops in their shell, with Salsify/Chestnut/Black Truffle, and then Veal Fillet with Baby Carrots, Parsley and Lemon. Next, indulge in ‘Coeur de Saint-Félix-Lauragais’ Goat Cheese. Don’t forget to save room for the special dessert of Chocolate/Passion Fruit, with passion fruit cream and chocolate mousse made with chocolate from Mr. Ducasse’s Manufacture in Paris.

TokyoLima

TokyoLima is offering a Valentine’s Day Menu perfect for couples as each dish has been designed to share with that special someone. There are four Small Plates including For Lovers, a maguro tiradito served with refreshing raspberry tiger’s milk, pink gari and shiso dust, and Salmon Maki featuring green sushi rice wrapped around salmon and avocado drizzled with a sweet yuzu dressing. Three Hot Plates include LL Stick of grilled lamb loin with apple puree, mint salad and pickled onion, Tacu Tacu, a traditional Peruvian rice dish and Secreto Pork combining slow cooked Iberian pork with aji panca demi-glace and crispy sweet potato. Then two desserts to finish including The Half Orange which is a moist orange cake featuring creamy vanilla frosting, candied orange and a scoop of rum raisin ice-cream. The Oye Papi XO…! is for chocolate lovers featuring chocolate cookie, chocolate mousse, chocolate sauce, caramelised almonds and coconut sorbet. Concocted by Bar Manager Allison Acuna, For His Names Sake is a special drink for the romantic evening, featuring a lilac cocktail shaken up with butterfly pea flower, rose liqueur and gummy hearts.
