Lamma Fun Day Beach Music Festival

Don’t miss Lamma Fun Day on Saturday 7th December 2019 on Tai Wan To Beach near Lamma Power Station. The Lamma Fun Day was established in 2000, specifically to raise money for education and vocational training projects in Nepal. Child Welfare Scheme Hong Kong (CWS) and a team of volunteers organise this popular community event. The last four fun days have helped rebuild schools damaged by the 2015 earthquake and raised more than $800,000 for the Child Friendly Schools project and anti-trafficking initiatives. Proceeds of the 2019 event will go to supporting the FAB School for Hospitality.

The day includes live music, market stalls, a licensed bar, international food, bake sale, bric-a-brac, beach volleyball, yoga, kung fu, an eco-art exhibition, art workshops, a fitness challenge, book signings by local authors and a live charity auction. Reusing and recycling have always been strongly encouraged at Lamma Fun Day. Free water will be available and everyone is encouraged to bring their own cups. All drinks at the bar are also discounted by $5 when you bring or reuse a cup. Volunteers from Lamma and Hong Kong help clean the beach and road before and after the event.

So, why not take a break, have some fun and help kids and young people in Nepal change their lives. It’s a great day out for the whole family.
