Fireworks at Victoria Harbour
Gather en-masse with surely tens of thousands of Hong Kongers and Tourists alike to ring in the New Year with Hong Kong’s world-famous New Year’s Eve Fireworks display. Find a place (if you can beat the crowds) in Central or Tsim Sha Tsui to watch the spectacle ensue.

Overlooking the harbour and gaining an unobstructed view of the sky and shore. Although it may be closed before midnight, for families with younger kids who won’t stay up too late, it is a fantastic place to take in the sights and get a break from the amassing crowds below. Additionally, it is located right next to the AIA carnival, a fantastic spot for the later night.

Various companies across Hong Kong run organised trips that can be catered for larger groups wishing to celebrate the new year. Be aware that these fill up months in advance and you will need to be prepared to likely share boats with strangers if you haven’t gotten your booking in on time.

Disneyland NYE party
With the recent grand opening of Hong Kong Disneyland’s World of Frozen, it is sure to be a fantastic time. Therefore, have your very own white Christmas and New Year in Hong Kong (minus the real snow). With Disney’s Elsa, Ana, Olaf, and the other denizens of Aerendell. For those who have more time off this holiday, consider spending the holiday week at the Disneyland hotel.
