    Things to do in HK in January Kids Fest 24

    Kids Fest 2024 features some great shows. The classic We’re Going on A Bear Hunt returns 25-28 January and is perfect for younger children age 3+. I Believe in Unicorns, which runs 2-4 February, is about a boy called Tomas who hates school, books and the library, until an encounter with a unicorn changes everything. It is suitable for age 6+. Children age 5+ will love seeing an amazing array of creatures from bygone eras in Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo, running 15-18 February. Last up is The Very Hungry Caterpillar on 23-25 February The critically acclaimed show is suitable for children age 3+.

    Jurassic Dinosaur Park 2.0

    DInosaur Park 2.0

    Dinosaur Adventure Park 2.0 returns to the Kowloon Bay International Trade and Exhibition Center Let’s Play Entertainment Centre this December. Come face to face with realistic, life size, simulated Jurassic dinosaurs as well as join a variety of dinosaur-themed activities including interactive VR shooting games; riding simulated walking dinosaurs; dinosaur slides and excavating dinosaur bones in the sand pool. Dinosaur Adventure Park 2.0 runs 3 December to 18 Feb 2024. Tickets are available at Trip.com

    Live at the Big Top

    Roll up, Roll up! The AIA Carnival’s circus Big Top is undergoing a remarkable transformation to host “Live at the Big Top,” an exceptional series of live music performances from 17 January to 24 January. It promises a diverse lineup of both local and international talents, curated in collaboration with Warner Music Asia. Artists such as Dear Jane, Griff, Bang Yedam, Marz23, Crash Adams, and more will grace the stage, offering a range of music genres and exciting musical experiences.     The Hong Kong Palace Museum presents “Botticelli to Van Gogh: Masterpieces that shaped Western art history.” This exhibition showcases 52 renowned paintings from London’s National Gallery, making their debut in Hong Kong. Families can explore influential artworks spanning 400 years by iconic artists like Raphael, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, and Monet. From Raphael’s “The Madonna and Child with the Infant Baptist” to Van Gogh’s lively “Long Grass with Butterflies,” the exhibition encompasses the Renaissance, Impressionism, and Post-Impressionism eras, highlighting pioneering techniques. Engaging educational programs deepen visitors’ understanding of Western art and culture. Supported by the Mega Arts and Cultural Events Fund, this blockbuster exhibition is not influenced by the views of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s government.
