Observation wheel
Overlooking the harbour and gaining an unobstructed view of the sky and shore. Although it may be closed before midnight, for families with younger kids who won’t stay up too late, it is a fantastic place to take in the sights and get a break from the amassing crowds below. Additionally, it is located right next to the AIA carnival, a fantastic spot for the later night.

Take an Evening Cruise
Catch the fireworks whilst afloat on a boat. Hong Kong fireworks, launching from harbour barges as well as skyscrapers, can be seen from most places along the harbour front but imagine being out on the water to see them fall. Hop on a boat and cruise around the harbour to catch the display while you enjoy a late dinner and drinks.
Go on a Staycation with a View
Why not book a hotel with a glorious view of Victoria Harbour? Make it a fun little staycation, letting the kids stay up late to see the fireworks without the crowds. Some hotel options to consider – Harbour Grand, Grand Hyatt, The Park Lane, Intercontinental, Marco Polo, The Ritz-Carlton, Kowloon Shangri-La.
AIA Carnival
All through the holiday season and longer, the AIA Carnival is always an exciting time for thrill seekers and amusement fair enthusiasts alike. The European Carnival is here ll through the holidays and well into early next year. With hair-raising rides to adorable party games, there is something to do for children of all ages
