Christmas dinner at home? What shall we do for Christmas? Yikes, I better book something!

With Christmas around the corner, all questions floating around at the moment are centred on how to celebrate. With the current travel restrictions in place, there will be an unprecedented amount of people celebrating the festive season in Hong Kong this year. From eating out, to eating in, there are an abundance of options available. We’ve rounded up our favourites for Christmas at Home, either delivered to your door, or available for pick up, and most importantly all stress-free.

Hotel ICON

Place an order for a Festive Take Away from Hotel ICON’s E-Shop. Featuring Christmas classics like Baby Turkey with Chestnut Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce and Giblet Gravy, Honey Glazed Gammon Ham with Pineapple or Beef Wellington with Truffle Red Wine Sauce. They also have a Godiva Christmas Takeaway Afternoon Tea Set available.  

Ali Oli

The basic set dinner from Ali Oli includes traditional items like roast turkey with apple and walnut stuffing served with gravy, cranberry sauce. Honey glazed ham with cranberry port sauce, hummus with crudités and pita bread as well as fresh salmon with white wine, dill and lemon. They also provide roast vegetables such as potato, carrot, sweet potato, pumpkin and parsnip with garlic and thyme, potato au gratin and baby spinach, peach and quinoa salad. Christmas sweet treats include pecan pie and sweet potato pie.

Porterhouse

Available now until 31st Dec, you can order a Festive Turkey for Takeaway (6 – 8 persons) from Porterhouse. The package includes 6kg Roasted Turkey, with cranberry sauce, Brussels sprouts, Mashed Potato, Roasted pumpkin with smoked paprika, French beans, Garlic & chili Broccoli. You can also enjoy 25% off for takeaway orders at Lan Kwai Fong Delivery Direct. Orders must be placed 3 days in advance and Prices start at $2000.

Chefs At Home

Chefs at home with Jia catering, means you can hire a chef to come to your home and cook up a feast for you! For Christmas they have 2 options available. Option A is a Christmas Sit Down Dinner (7-courses, HK$1,980 pp + Catering Costs). Option B is a Christmas Family Style (includes 6 Tapas, 3 Mains and 1 Dessert, HK$1,100 pp + Catering Costs). Bookings are available on 24th and 31st, for 2 slots, 6pm and 8pm with a 24h cancellation policy. Check the website for full details on the menu choices.

Smoke & Barrel

Smoke & Barrel is offering a Takeaway Turkey Menu, featuring a 5-6 kg Smoked Turkey, Mash Potato, Honey Roasted Pumpkin, Grandma’s Baked Stung, Cranberry Sauce, Pecan Pie, and Bottle of Bubbles. Prices start from HK$1888 serving 6-8 Available from November 26 – December 26. Orders must be placed 48 Hours in advance.

Feather and Bone

At Feather and Bone you can order a Turkey to cook yourself, or one that’s ready to roast. Ordering online is very easy and you can add on sides, sauces, condiments, cheese, drinks, sweets you name it. They have an extensive range of festive foods available. All orders are for store pick up or delivery from 1st – 25th December.

Big Sur

Take home the festive FEAST from The Big Sure, fully prepared and ready to eat and enough for 6-8 people. The Feast includes a Herb Smoked and Roasted USDA Turkey with Sourdough Gravy. Served with Plum and Cranberry Sauce, Grilled Brussel sprouts and Kale with Chestnut Butter and Crispy Bacon, Smoked Duck Fat Roasted Potatoes, Pork Apple and Sage Stuffing, Honey and Miso, Glazed Roasted Heritage Carrots and Parsnips and Cheddar and Jalapeno Cornbread. To finish dessert is Smoked Apple Pie with Salted Caramel Custard and Bite-Size Pecan Pies. Pre-orders required before 7 December.

Shrimp Gyozas, Robatayaki Grilled Chicken Thigh, Beef Tendon, Tempura Shrimp Roll & Spicy Salmon Roll, Sweet & Sour Cauliflower Tempura, Fried Nagoya Udon with Vegetables, Curry Fried Rice with Vegetables, and Miso Soup. Guests can also enjoy Dassai 45 Junmai Daiginjo for HK$530 per bottle. Prices start from $1380 for 4 people.

Aria

Christmas Dinner with an Italian twist will be available to order from Aria this Christmas period. Menu highlights include Marinated and Grilled Prawn and Scallops with Basil and Lemon Dressing, Warm Spaghetti Salad and Royal Cristal Caviar, Fish Cannoli, Black Truffle Stuffed Whole Spring Chicken with Roasted Potato and Chestnuts. And to finish traditional Tiramisu. Prices start from $3788 (2 persons) and is available to order 24 Dec – 1 Jan, orders must be placed 1 day in advance.
