    Jurassic Dinosaur Park 2.0

    Dinosaur Adventure Park 2.0 returns to the Kowloon Bay International Trade and Exhibition Center Let’s Play Entertainment Centre this December. Come face to face with realistic, life size, simulated Jurassic dinosaurs as well as join a variety of dinosaur-themed activities including interactive VR shooting games; riding simulated walking dinosaurs; dinosaur slides and excavating dinosaur bones in the sand pool.     Botticelli to Van Gogh: Masterpieces that shaped Western Art History

    The Hong Kong Palace Museum presents “Botticelli to Van Gogh: Masterpieces that shaped Western art history.” This exhibition showcases 52 renowned paintings from London’s National Gallery, making their debut in Hong Kong. Families can explore influential artworks spanning 400 years by iconic artists like Raphael, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, and Monet. From Raphael’s “The Madonna and Child with the Infant Baptist” to Van Gogh’s lively “Long Grass with Butterflies,” the exhibition encompasses the Renaissance, Impressionism, and Post-Impressionism eras, highlighting pioneering techniques. Engaging educational programs deepen visitors’ understanding of Western art and culture. Supported by the Mega Arts and Cultural Events Fund, this blockbuster exhibition is not influenced by the views of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s government.     CocoMelon Winter Wonderland

    Step into the CoComelon Winter Wonderland at Olympian City. The 3000-square-foot Christmas- themed Inflatable Wonderland is filled with festive zones and three exciting missions that test agility and reaction time. Tackle the Candy Cane Tunnel, navigate the inflatable obstacle course to locate the hidden beanbags and then toss them into the inflatable chimney, while bouncing on the trampoline. Complete the missions to earn a commemorative pin and slide into a supersized ball pit. It’s an enchanting experience for little ones filled with holiday magic and adventure.     Clockenflap

    Clockenflap, Hong Kong’s biggest international outdoor music and arts festival returns to the Central Harbourfront from Friday, 1 December to Sunday, 3 December, 2023.

    Building on the success of its sold-out March 2023 edition, the 13th edition of the festival promises an innovative and diverse roster of artists. From globally acclaimed acts to hidden regional and local gems, the lineup guarantees an unparalleled experience found nowhere else in the world.

    The festival’s headliners include the legendary Britpop icons PULP, who will take the stage on Saturday night, the rising Japanese superstar Joji, headlining on Sunday and concluding his Pandemonium world tour, and the J-pop superduo Yoasobi, headlining on Friday. Alongside these stellar acts, Clockenflap will provide an immersive festival experience, boasting a breathtaking outdoor setting with multiple stages, a delectable selection of food and beverage options, and an eclectic lineup of unmissable international, regional, and local artists.

    Ticketing Details: $1,990 for three-day weekend tickets (SOLD OUT) and $1,280 for single-day tickets. Children aged under three years old can attend the festival for free (pre-registration for children aged under three is not required).

    As a change from previous years, and a bit of a blow to us parents, children aged between three and 17 years old require their own ticket, which are priced HK$1,580 for three-day weekend tickets and HK$880 for single-day tickets.

    The Mills’ 5th Anniversary Celebratory Events

    WeWeave Cultural Festival

    Date: 2-3 December

    There will be an electrifying lineup of performances at this festival. The Mills has curated a range of popular acts spanning indie, rock, and lyrical genres, promising an unforgettable music extravaganza. Grab your free tickets on 23 and 24 November.     On 3 December, Zeno and J1M3 take the stage with their uniquely modern sounds. Singer-songwriter Ng Lam Fung Wilson plus R.O.O.T and 6 @RubberBand, will bring positive energy on stage as well.

    Family Fun! Outdoor Indigo-Dyeing

    The outdoor indigo dyeing experience with your family and pets is not to be missed! Try out CHAT’s Japanese indigo fermentation vat to discover the art of Itajime shibori—a traditional Japanese technique involving folding, clamping, and dyeing. You’ll craft your very own bandana at the workshop.

    The Weaving Wall

    Immerse yourself in this one-of-a-kind experience that seamlessly blends art, storytelling, and the vibrant heritage of Hong Kong’s textile industry. Details of the new “Weaving Wall” to be announced soon.

    Giant Eco-Friendly Christmas Tree

    To round out the year, The Mills will transform the original materials of the former Wavy Weaving Wall into a magnificent eco-friendly Christmas tree and festive décor. By weaving new life into these materials, The Mills continues to embrace its long-standing tradition of blending art and sustainability to celebrate special occasions.

    Dick Whittington The Panto

    For over four decades, Hong Kong Players have been entertaining audiences with their festive pantomimes, and this year’s show promises to be their best one yet. Expect jaw-dropping stage combat, dazzling dance routines, and enchanting musical performances in Dick Whittington, THE PANTO! 

    Join Dick Whittington and his trusty feline companion, Tom, as they embark on a journey to find their fortune in the bustling streets of London. But they won’t be alone in their adventure – Dick’s Aunt Fanny will provide some much-needed (or perhaps not-so-helpful) assistance along the way. Can Dick overcome the wicked Rat Queen and save the day?Don’t miss this hilarious show – the perfect treat for the whole family, it’s filled with festive fun that will leave you laughing and cheering throughout.

    Standard Chartered Arts in the Park

    Things to do in December Arts in the Park

    Standard Chartered Arts in the Park returns to Victoria Park, Causeway Bay, offering Hong Kong’s iconic annual outdoor youth arts festival and puppet parade. The Carnival of the Animal-themed event features vibrant creatures from around the world and diverse art styles. Attendees can look forward to giant puppets, costumed stilt walkers, stage performances, interactive art stalls, storytelling, African drum jamming, an exhibition of 6,000 artworks, and a meet-and-greet session with the puppets. This two-day, free-of-charge extravaganza promises a spectacular weekend of visual and sensorial art experiences for all ages.
