The Wishing Stars at Lee Tung Avenue
Illuminating Hope This Christmas & The Wishing Stars
Experience a meet-and-greet with Santa, enjoy in genuine Swedish and Finnish festivities at Christmas markets, and send complimentary postcards under the enchanting light corridor and spectacular gleaming beads on Lee Tung Ave.
Come see “The Wishing Stars” installation designed by Victor Wong, acclaimed multi-media artist and multiple-time winner of the Best Visual Effects Award in the Hong Kong Film Awards and Taiwan’s Golden Horse Awards. With over a million sparkling beads, the “Corridor of Wishes” stretches along the pedestrian walkway and features a giant Christmas star above the Central Piazza. From 5 December 2023 to 14 January 2024, “The Wishing Stars” will shine the spotlight on Lee Tung Avenue both day and night. The Scandinavian market will have a meet-and-greet with Santa on 28 November 2023. The Nordic Christmas markets will feature festive food and crafts from Sweden and Finland.
To kick off the dazzling Christmas campaign, a switch-on ceremony together with live music and dance performances will be held on 5 December 2023.
‘Merry Dreamscape: The gifting magic’
From now through 1st January 2024, Santa Claus and his elves are coming to ELEMENTS. Pose in front of the Instagrammable 8-metre-tall Christmas Tree and the fantastical box of magic brimming with hidden surprises. Meanwhile, daily magical shows (hourly from noon till 9pm) will be popping up to amaze audiences every hour. Stay a little longer to take in the music and dance performances by various schools and troupes.
Santa Claus meet & greet sessions are on the 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 25th and 26th December. ELEMENTS is also collaborating with Box of Hope, inviting customers to transform into Secret Santa by supporting a gift-giving initiative that sends love and warmth to children living in challenging circumstances.
In celebration of Christmas and of Disney’s 100th anniversary, Harbour City will be displaying 100 unique Disney-themed BE@RBRICK figurines in an impressive 2000 per cent size. The 100 BE@RBRICK figurines showcase an array of Disney characters, covering beloved series such as Mickey and Friends, Disney Classics, Disney Princesses, as well as characters from Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars. Among the collection, 53 figurines feature brand-new designs, with a special focus on the fan-favourite Disney Princess and Disney Villains series. To welcome the holiday season, some of the figurines are dressed in Christmas attire, including characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Woody and Buzz Lightyear. As a part of a cherished Christmas tradition, Harbour City will donate all proceeds from the project, after deducting costs, to the Hong Kong Blood Cancer Foundation.
The “SnowPark” at ifc mall makes a white Christmas in Hong Kong a reality
If you’ve been dreaming of a white Christmas, head to ifc mall this holiday season as they bring you seven iconic attractions that bring a European Ski Resort experience to life. Dance in the snow inside an 8.5-metre Christmas tree and try out digital interactive winter activities. “SnowPark” opens its doors soon. From 22 November 2023 to 1 January 2024, the Oval Atrium at ifc mall will become a picture-perfect holiday destination inspired by a quintessential European ski resort.
Create your digital Explorer Pass with a personalised AI photo at the entrance, then begin exploring the SnowPark by boarding the ski lift.
Smurfs Up Christmas at Citygate Outlets
Celebrate 65 years of The Smurfs at Citygate
Join the Smurfs in their inaugural ‘Smurfs Up Christmas’ in the effervescent setting of a Christmas Village from now to 2 January 2024. Over 20 stalls selling festive goods, creative handicrafts, and deli foods from Belgium (home of the Smurfs) are featured in the ‘Smurfmas Outdoor Market’ at The Piazza on L4, Citygate Outlets every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and public holiday from now onwards (some of these are curated by popular influencers). There is also a charity sale, where you can buy a wonderful selection of limited-edition Christmas Smurf goodies! Be sure to find the festive selfie spots at three outdoor areas including the three-metre-tall ‘Christmas Light Arch’, the six-metre-tall ‘Smurfy Spruce Tower’, and a ‘Starry Tree Maze’.
Kids will love the ‘Smurfmas Body & Face Painting’ booth at the Smurfmas Outdoor Market. Parents will love the yummy Belgian foods.
Merry Spacemas @Harbour City
Experience an out-of-this-world Christmas celebration
Discover a galaxy of fun at the “Bear Rocket Launch Station” at Ocean Terminal Forecourt. Check out the 3-meter-tall Bear Astronaut who takes you aboard “Christmas Tree Rocket” and see over 30 bear astronauts, Christmas tree robots, and alien friends from 17 November 2023 to 1 January 2024. Get ready for some fun photos at 10 photo check-in spots offering an unforgettable experience. Don’t miss the Lightspeed Elevator, Zero Gravity Cabin, and Exploration Shuttle. Sneak a preview of the Christmas Lighting Ceremony.
Citywalk Christmas Village
A replica European village, complete with steam train.
Get ready for some holiday magic in a little European village! The Event Hall of Citywalk mall in Tsuen Wan turns into a winter wonderland (25 November – 1 January 2024) with adorable installations. Hop on the miniature steam train – with real steam – for a whimsical journey. Visit the five-metre house, complete with a groovy neon-lit room inside, to take some cool photos. And children will love the wobbly wooden path on the treehouse, a fun balancing challenge. If they want more action, head to Citywalk 2 for a thrilling snow slide down a small hill. Get ready for some serious gliding!
The Christmas Village also hosts a model train exhibition featuring over 30 iconic European and American trains. You’ll see famous ones like the Simplon-Orient-Express and the Glacier Express, which takes you through stunning Swiss landscapes. Plus, they’ve got historic locomotives like Stephenson’s Rocket and the SNB Aare Class D 1/3. It’s a paradise for train lovers! Oh, and there’s a pop-up store right next to the exhibition where you can buy all kinds of model trains. From beginner sets to professional ones, it’s a great place to find Christmas presents for train enthusiasts or maybe even treat yourself!
There is also a 12-metre outdoor Christmas tree and enchanting LED Christmas tree-lined light corridor, complete with falling snow, to captivate visitors arriving at Cityplaza.
Events: until 1 January Citywalk Open Piazza and the Atrium of Citywalk 2 will be hosting various holiday markets selling Christmas-themed products. In addition to traditional carolling, local buskers will perform seasonal tunes every Saturday and Sunday to further heighten the holiday mood.
Discovery Bay Clocktower gets an Italian makeover.
From 24th November, every corner of Discovery Bay will be adorned with festive lighting, Italian-themed decorations, artificial snow, and enchanting light projections, creating a European Christmas Wonderland that welcomes all. The iconic DB North Clock Tower takes on a new guise, transformed into a magnificent 13-meter replica of the “Milan Cathedral.” Surrounding this architectural marvel are four sets of three-meter-tall illuminating angels, adding a touch of celestial beauty to the scene. At DB North Piazza, a grand six-meter tall Christmas tree, with an eight-meter long tree base shaped like a gondola, stands proudly. The tree sparkles with dazzling lights, while light projections on the ground add to the mesmerizing ambiance of DB North Plaza, creating the perfect spot for unforgettable photos each night. Each weekend from 25 November, visitors can also experience the artificial snowfall.
Events: On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day there will be a Popcorn and Cotton Candy Sweet Giveaway and “Santa Meet & Greet” for a photo snap with Santa while a Christmas gift awaits. And this year, Discovery Bay partners with The Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council to organise a Charity Market, Christmas Carolling and Busking at the indoor event space of DB Plaza from 24 to 26 December, making this Christmas more meaningful.

WinterFest Christmas Town at West Kowloon Cultural District
Head to the West Kowloon Cultural District and be dazzled by Christmas Town, which features a towering Christmas tree and festive-themed displays until 1 January. There are also pyrotechnic displays taking place at 8pm on 9,10,16,17, 23,24,25,26 December.
